Frequently Asked Questions

General Care

Do you only work with women?

No. While I specialize in holistic psychiatry for ambitious, high-achieving women in Denver and across Colorado—because I understand the unique pressures of burnout, perfectionism, and the constant drive to “hold it all together”—my approach is effective for anyone seeking thoughtful, root-cause mental health care. I also welcome men who value a more personalized alternative to traditional psychiatry.

Do you accept insurance for holistic psychiatry?

I do not work within insurance networks—and that’s intentional. This model allows me to practice holistic psychiatry with the time, depth, and attention you deserve. Rather than rushed checklists, I provide integrative, personalized sessions that uncover root causes and create lasting change.

While I don’t bill insurance directly, I provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients appreciate the privacy, flexibility, and elevated level of support this model provides—care that isn’t dictated by insurance checkboxes.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is an itemized document that lists the details of your holistic psychiatric care—including session dates, diagnostic codes, and fees. Clients can submit superbills to their insurance company to request out-of-network reimbursement for services such as psychiatric evaluations, ADHD testing, anxiety treatment, or depression therapy. Because each plan is different, contact your provider to see what may be covered.

Do you offer a sliding scale for holistic psychiatric care?

Yes. I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients in Denver and across Colorado who are experiencing financial hardship. If you’d like to be considered, just mention this during your complimentary consultation. Availability isn’t guaranteed, but I do my best to make holistic psychiatry accessible for those who need financial flexibility.

Do you offer virtual therapy or psychiatry?

Yes. All appointments are virtual by default, with optional house calls or discreet public meet-ups in Denver for an additional travel fee. That means you can access holistic psychiatric care from anywhere in Colorado—Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, or beyond—without commuting, waiting rooms, or distractions.

Appointments & Evaluations

What’s included in the Foundational Wellness Assessment?

The Foundational Wellness Assessment is where holistic psychiatry begins. More than just a standard psychiatric intake, this diagnostic deep dive uncovers the root causes of your symptoms and maps out a personalized plan for healing.

Before your session, I review intake forms, medical history, psychiatric records, labs, and relevant testing. During our time together, you’ll share your full story—not just yes-or-no answers. We’ll explore your health history, lifestyle, and overlooked mind-body patterns.

This session includes a root-cause lab panel interpreted through a holistic psychiatry lens to reveal inflammation, hormonal shifts, or nutrient deficiencies often missed in traditional care.

You’ll leave with:

  • A clear understanding of your symptoms and diagnoses

  • Root-cause insights supported by lab data

  • A personalized treatment roadmap

  • Recommendations for medication, supplements, therapy, and lifestyle changes

  • A Fullscript account for pharmaceutical-grade supplement protocols—convenient, click-to-order support

What’s the difference between the 90-minute and 120-minute Foundational Wellness Assessments?

Both options reflect the holistic psychiatry approach—going beyond surface symptoms to uncover what’s really driving your struggles.

  • 90-minute assessment: Best if you’re relatively stable, seeking a reset, or already have functional/psychiatric work behind you. It gives us time to connect the dots and create a focused plan.

  • 120-minute assessment: Recommended for complex cases—multiple diagnoses, treatment-resistant symptoms, or a long history of trial-and-error. This extended session lets us dive deeper into your psychiatric records, lab data, and overlapping conditions such as ADHD, burnout, anxiety, or depression.

The 120-minute assessment is recommended for clients in Denver and across Colorado who are navigating more complex psychiatric needs—such as multiple diagnoses, treatment-resistant symptoms, or a long history of trial-and-error with medications or therapy. This extended time gives us space to explore your full story in depth, carefully review past psychiatric records and lab data, and address overlapping issues like depression, burnout, anxiety or ADHD.

What happens during follow-up sessions (Integration vs. Momentum)?

  • Integration Session (50 minutes): Combines therapy with holistic psychiatry tools like supplement/medication management, functional labs, and lifestyle coaching.

  • Momentum Session (25 minutes): A shorter, high-impact visit designed for clarity—ideal for medication adjustments, progress check-ins, or quick support between longer sessions.

How do ADHD packages compare to your regular holistic psychiatric services?

ADHD packages are standalone assessments designed for evaluation only. They provide objective clarity but do not include prescriptions, ongoing treatment, or broader holistic psychiatry services.

If you’re looking for ongoing holistic psychiatric care—including ADHD treatment, functional lab testing, supplement/medication management, and integrative therapy—the Foundational Wellness Assessment is the best place to start.

ADHD Testing

What's included in Package A (Full ADHD Evaluation)?

Package A is a comprehensive ADHD evaluation that incorporates the principles of holistic psychiatry. Designed for ages 15–60, it includes:

  • ADHD screening and detailed pre-appointment paperwork

  • 60-minute psychiatric evaluation to assess ADHD and rule out conditions like anxiety, burnout, or depression

  • QbCheck ADHD test

  • 30-minute follow-up to review results and clinical insights

  • Transfer of medical records to a provider of your choice

This package helps determine whether ADHD contributes to your struggles while considering your broader psychiatric picture. Note: It does not include treatment recommendations, prescriptions, or documentation for accommodations.

Package B is a QbCheck-only ADHD testing option for Colorado residents. It provides objective data about attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, but does not include a full psychiatric evaluation or broader diagnostic exploration.

What's included in Package B (QbCheck Only)?

Package B is a streamlined ADHD test for ages 12–60. It’s ideal if you want objective data without full holistic psychiatric evaluation. It includes:

  • 30-minute consult to review your history and order the test

  • Unique access code to complete QbCheck at home

  • The QbCheck test itself, measuring focus, hyperactivity, and impulse control

  • 30-minute results review + your full QbCheck report

Note: QbCheck alone is not diagnostic—it’s a data tool, not a full evaluation.

This package helps determine whether ADHD may be contributing to your struggles while also considering other psychiatric factors. Please note: it does not include treatment recommendations, prescriptions, lab work, or documentation for accommodations.

Who should choose Package A?

Choose Package A if you want the most complete picture—combining ADHD testing with a holistic psychiatric evaluation. It’s especially useful if you’re unsure whether your symptoms stem from ADHD, anxiety, burnout, or depression.

Who should choose Package B?

Package B is ideal if you already suspect ADHD and want objective data. Many clients in Colorado choose this option to:

  • Share results with their provider

  • Gain clarity while between providers

  • Track progress with an existing ADHD diagnosis

What if I start with an ADHD package and later want holistic psychiatric care?

  • If you complete Package A, you’ve already had a full evaluation and can move directly into ongoing holistic psychiatry (therapy, supplements, medication, labs) without repeating the intake.

  • If you complete Package B, you’ll need a Foundational Wellness Assessment before establishing ongoing holistic psychiatric care.
